James Bond watches
By Felix | Category Feature

Watches have always been part of the equipment of a secret agent. Long before James Bond was released in the cinemas, Ian Fleming James Bond has in his books with a wristwatch. In "On Her Majesty's" Bond used the clock as brass knuckles and destroyed them. When thinking about a replacement Bond, it shoots through my head, "A Rolex? Why not. They are quite heavy, but they work. And at least you can see in the dark, phosphorescent digits. "
When James Bond film of fiction to the more developed, its watches could be seen. In Dr. No Sean Connery wears a Rolex Submariner dive watch clearly, as described in the book by Dowling and Hess. Rolex Reference 6538 or 5508 are now known as James Bond Submariner. Bond's arch enemies also wear interesting chronographs. The most interesting of them are Donald "Red" Grant, Goldfinger and Scaramanga.

Grant, played by Robert Shaw, a hitman in love greetings from Moscow, to strangle an unknown watch, with retractable thin wire. This clock is also present in another Bond film: Her Majesty's Secret Service.
In the literature, "With Love greetings from Moscow" is very accurately described Grant's Clock, "It is a very bulky gold wristwatch was abraded to a crocodile leather strap. It was the Girard-Perregaux model designed for gadget lovers, with two small windows for calendar day, month and moon phase. "
Gert Frobe in Goldfinger also bears a striking gold watch, which I unfortunately can not decipher. Christopher Lee, who Scamanga in "The Man with the Golden Gun" plays bears, probably a Rolex Cellini King Midas.
